Re: CVA-01
Superb drawing. The rudders look unusual to me- are the skegs pivoting also? Part of me want's to tinker with this and sketch up what she might have looked like at various stages in her career- would the Sea Dart have lasted? Would Sea Wolf have been installed, or Phalanx? What modifications would ...

Re: Ulstien X-Box 'Phib
oops. Right. Sorry- all these little bits of kit I must admit I have a very hard time keeping track of the latest versions. I realise I must be driving you guys up the wall- pretty much every mistake I make is a 'version control' one, but there is no date on files in ship bucket, no version ...

Re: Ulstien X-Box 'Phib
The LCVP with this camo is labeled as RN on the source sheet. Other online resources show it in RN service with the brown/black camo http://www.thinkdefence.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/LCVP-Mk5.jpg. For the purposes of this design, I'm happy to stick with this pattern. And no, the RN doesn't ...

Ulstien X-Box 'Phib
This is a fork from http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1838 where the there was a link to a site where the Ulstien X-Bow was being explored as an OPV type vessel for open oceans. http://www.thinkdefence.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Moship.jpg Via that discussion it was shown ...

Re: someone gets it
With deep humility and understanding that I am still learning, please find a first pass WIP of an X-Bow RN Phib. Self defence capable, small dock, 20kts, Bofors 57mm fore and aft (love that gun!) CAMMs forward, hangar for 3 merlin (or mix). Sea archer fore and aft, Artisan for search. A company of ...
