It most certainly did, and in fact the Potez 25 was the very first warplane in Ethiopia. It was a part of what brought Halie Selassie I to power as Emperor rather than regent for Empress Zewditu.Portsmouth Bill wrote:Interesting. I wasn't aware that Ethiopia had an air force at that time

any chance of a Blackcat version of the PBY

I've watched the great lump lift off and do circuits at HARS, quite amazing how it lumbers aloft. Our boys stripped out the landing gear to give greater range for the night intrusion ops. Looking forward to you version.
Thanks

Beriev MBR-2, the later variant with a newer engine and enclosed cabin and turret.
I also will be doing the earlier variant (M-17) and the civilian versions.

If I am not mistaken that is Nesre Makonnen itself, named for Haile Selassie - great job on the markings!Satirius wrote:It most certainly did, and in fact the Potez 25 was the very first warplane in Ethiopia. Portsmouth Bill - the origins of the Ethiopian Air Force are very interesting and worth a bit of time!
Re: FD scale vehicles 4
If the Nesre Makonnen was a specific plane then I've screwed up on the nose. The 25-A2 doesn't have a radial.

I always have a weakness for RAAF planes, but I think you can better to ask WHYME first, it is his drawing after all.Rusel wrote:Darth

I stand corrected; my doubt was that you'd posted incorrerctly: AU into real life.Satirius wrote:It most certainly did, and in fact the Potez 25 was the very first warplane in Ethiopia.
