Re: FD Trainbucket
Nice work, I could imagine this trundling down Blackpool seafront.
Nice adverts too, especially the Eat Marmite one!

Re: FD Trainbucket
Very quirky, but why some wheels have spokes outlined in black and some not? Same with rods?

Re: FD Trainbucket
I think this TECHNICALLY counts as a Train
Disneyland's first Generation of Monorail, the ALWEG-Disneyland MK.I and Mk.II "Red, Blue, and Yellow" Built at the Disney Studios in California out of Riveted Aluminum and components imported from ALWEG of Germany
First up is the Original Two Trains, "Blue" and "Red" which were constructed in 1959 and Opened by Walt Disney himself and Vice-President Richard Nixon (+Family)
in 1961 they trains were Refitted and received another passenger car each (notable changes being added windows, a "sun visor" for the front and rear windows, and the addition of the newbuild Train "Yellow"
Following the Rather Violent death of a 19 year old Trying to enter the park illegally at night in 1966 all trains were refitted again, losing the "Tail-Lights", adding another beacon light on the rear cars roof, and bulkier Side-front wheel covers, the train involved according to reports was blue
again a year later they were once again refitted, this time adding large vents on the roofs of the cars, and two strange parallel "spines" on the roof, possibly rain guides to stop water entering the vents?
I am currently working on the Newbuild Mk.III series which came in 1969 and added unit "Green" to the mix, but its been difficult as finding ANYTHING on them (despite being the longest lasting Monorail they had, serving well into the 80s) so its rather confusing me

Re: FD Trainbucket
and thus, the Final ALWEG "type" Monorail from Disneyland! (disregard what I said earlier about Disney dropping ALWEG immediately with the MK3, turns out I was wrong)
despite similarities with the older 1 and 2, the 3 was essentially built from the ground up, and they even added a 4th train "Green"
firstly, as Built (1969)
and ROUGHLY in 1978 (exact date seems to be unknown) they kicked ALWEG, and repainted all trains, losing the ALWEG logos and nameplates (but otherwise the trains remained seemingly unmodified)
and thus I end my work on the Disney monorails
gotta be honest...I kinda hate all the newer ones from the 70s onward (the "Learjet" style is not my cup of tea)
I MAY try my hand at the Nara Dreamland "Spaceliner" Monorail from Japan but info is REDICULIOUSLY hard to find on that one
