Cold War

The HAe Maelstrom light fighter was designed to meet a NATO design competition for a small naval fighter to provide air defence from light and anti-submarine aircraft carriers

While the NATO competition was cancelled, production went ahead and it saw extensive use with the Recherche Armed Forces and other Commonwealth militaries
