Jean Bart Carrier AU

#1 Post by The Hand Of Ray »

This is one of my first attempts at shipbucket, a hypothetical completion of the Jean Bart as a aircraft carrier instead of a battleship.
Using parts from the sheet as well as using elements from the Joffe class from Garlicdesign.
Advice and criticism is welcomed and asked for!

Hey, welcome! You should just probably use the [ img ] [ /img ] tag function instead of URL and IMG together. The image looks cool, but it is kinda small!

I think that your imagehost resized your image, checking it out you typed in the url of the album instead of the image's url which would've been https://i.ibb.co/PMYJW13/Jean-Bart-AU.png
Also a top view would help a lot to find out if there's good clearance for those side turrets.

I think this concept would greatly benefit from a top view study. That doesn't mean you need to actually draw the top view in full Shipbucket style, but I suspect it would reveal that the elements as currently drawn wouldn't fit within a reasonable beam.

For a personal or AU design, it's important to do some preliminary layout work before beginning the drawing to make sure that the concept makes sense.

I emphasize that this is much better than my first Shipbucket-style drawings.
