Here are links to the archived copies of the Navy History & Heritage command albums containing scans of the 1911 - 1925 (Volume 1) and 1939 - 1944 (Volume 3) 'Spring Styles' books of warship plans created for the US Navy. Volume 2 covering 1925 - 1939 is believed to have been destroyed in the 1970s and, while volume 4 which covers 1944 - 1954 still exists it has apparently never been digitized, although I have seen a picture by Tzoli of an AA conversion of an Iowa Class battleship that appears to be based on material from that book.
Sadly the latest version of the USN History site has the individual pictures, but they are not grouped into albums making finding pictures hard, so here is are the links which should at least make finding things a little easier.

As these are links to the archived pages, from what is known as the Way Back Machine, many of the drawings themselves aren't available. These are only archived links to a site which is no longer active.
Thank you Kim for the crest

Here is a link to a mirror of the contents on the Shipscribe website, the link goes to the top level page that gives access to the two digitized volumes.

I will have to look through some old external hard drives but there is a chance I still have 4 downloaded somewhere. Making no promises for such an older thread.

Good luck, the few fragments of book 4 that have been found have revealed wonderful things....DvdMBrigance wrote: ↑September 25th, 2018, 5:11 pm I will have to look through some old external hard drives but there is a chance I still have 4 downloaded somewhere. Re: US Navy 'Spring Styles' Volumes 1 & 3 (Volume 4 now available)
A user on the Secret Projects forum called that_person has posted a link to a scanned version of the fourth volume of the US Navy Springstyles drawings over on that forum.
Looks to be no battleship designs, so the USS Kentucky (BB-66) conversion into an AA ship that I mentioned in the OP of this thread didn't originate with this collection. Here is a link to the thread over on Secret Projects Forum is below. The link to the scanned files is in the first post.
