Aurora

#1 Post by Gollevainen »

Approximently exactly one hundred years ago today Russian cruiser Aurora fired shots at Winter Palace in Petrograd (nowaday St. Petersburg) to signal the begining of October Revolution, event that reshaped the course of history for that date onwards.

Here is my "at least what I can do" last-minute effort to honour the historical event and the legendary warship that was in the centre of it all. Here is 1st rank Cruiser Aurora as she appeared in 1917.

Excellent work on one of the most iconic ships. A survivor of 'another era' of naval warfare.

Great drawing, especially for a last-minute job!
I certainly hope you find some time to polish it up a bit, but thanks for the work done just for the occasion!
