Everyone is excited that they are finally over this LCS experiment in Washington and looking for a new lethal frigate design. This design is inspired by the Arleigh Burke DDG and FREMM FFG. The goal is to provide capability while controlling costs. To do this, the frigate has about 70% compatibility with DDG-51 class and LCS-1 class.

I might say that it's one of the better ideas, of something based on AB design in an FFG size.
