felt like doing some burke neverbuilds and personal designs. on my PC I have quite a few drawings of different concepts, I will try to cover quite a few of them, but for now only the easiest mod. note that I based the drawing almost purely on the profile view in the upper right corner, as the large drawing seems to have quite a few differences from that, of which most seem to be just drawing errors.

What's with the weird knuckle in the fantail structure? It doesn't make any sense.

A miss-interpretation of the helo deck nets that I failed to catch.

Seems like the placement of the aft CIWS so close to the helo deck is just a horrible accident waiting to happen.

Is the Flight nomenclature unique to the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer? Or have other ship classes used Flight I, Flight II, Flight III etc. to denote subclasses/variants? Anyone know the origin of the term Flight as applied to naval ships?

is this the right place to ask this? I doubt so.
but, the tico's (and ,I have seen this only once, but ok, the perry's) use this as well. most often I see the word 'batch' used though.
