best helicopter

#1 Post by Trojan »

Im very curious to see what this boards answers and opinions are and would appreciate all feedback
you can choose for a major world power type nation that can buy the most expensive option, a more in the middle nation that may have to look at more to it then just the sheer capabilities but also economic benefits and other factors, and/or a lower nation that has to buy what is cheapest for a reasonable capability and will have too consider other factors than sheer capability even more than the middle nation (at least thats what I'm thinking would make sense, I am not sure if it actually does)
I know that there may be not one simply best helicopter and it may be hard to choose one without a set of requirements but please try your best.

Since Norway have NH90 it must be good so that one is that I want! but If I want something as old as many of this helicopter on this list I want Westland Lynx just because it is a litle, fast helicopter that you can arme with many funny things and if you are crazy can do a loop in it (If you have the correct model of the Lynx!).

1. If you want a fast helicopter: Lynx has/had the world speed record.
2. If you want a helicopter that can do aerobatic: Lynx.
3. Get you're man fast in and out: Lynx.
4. Need something that can maneuver fast: lynx (to some point)
5. Need a ASW helicopter: Lynx.
6. Need a ASuW helo: There haw been some concept off a Harpoon lynx, but you have those penguine (Norwegian fun!) armed helos.
7. Need something small for transport: Lynx.
8. Small hangar: lynx (or that Russian one)
9. Cost: Lynx is not what you call a cheep helo.
10. Multirole (you want that in a naval helo): Lynx, NH90, etc.

Norway lower country HA HA HA HA. Norway is so rich that if Norway is in need of something they just bay it from the top shell!

I have an example on that: Since Norway is in Afghanistan, Norway needed some armored cars, so they bought 40-60 large heavy armored cars, but they found out that those car was not good enough so they bought almost 100 new armored cars(trucks in size) but they didn't sell those other car they just put them in one of the large underground store. And last year we stopped to invest a couple of billions NOK in building totally new torpedo bunker from the WW2 and the cold war. one off them was finish last year with the best you can get, the day after it was closed to never be in use! So lower country: no, to much money: yes

but the I am trolling.

Too bad the Comanche was`t one of the choices. That is truly a kick ass chopper. It does, or should I say that it would have done what the Apache does and nobody would have ever known one was in the area.

RAH-66 was a scout with limited offensive role ... not even close to work that Apache do.

There is only one choopa I take in any time, peace, war and post apocalyptic zombie action. Only one can take you to hell and back ... Mil Mi-24.
