ok heres my first actual ship, well more of a WIP, i decided to start small after trying to draw the USS Montana became to much for me. Comments and tips are always useful :)

This is some sort of very light artillery cruiser? She look too modern, for the armored belt!

yes sort of, i'm trying to go for a postwar-ish look, and i meant to replace the Mk 75 with a US 4"/50 before i uploaded it, so that was my fault. and plus im still tinkering with the overall look of the midsection.

Hmm... The funnel and the superstructure looks too modern for those obsolesce elements like armored belt.

Your ship have RHIBs on board and a 80-ish look funnel to a World War II era ship.

As mentioned above ,the funnel, the Mk.75 gun and RHIB, as well as the propeller are too modern. The bridge looks wrong somewhat, with no wings, and the hull is too deep for its size.

ok so i studied a up on the looks of ships about this size from WW2 and i think it looks better than it did, also I replaced the Mk.75 with a U.S. 4"/50. still trying to work on the stern end of the ship but mostly concentrating on the superstructure first.

It looks better now, but bear in mind that the USN used the 5"/38 as a replacement for the 4"/50, in the surface fire role (IIRC the 4"/50was not used as an AA gun). They were never used together on the same ship. If you want a smeller gun, than use the 3"/50 (several types existed, Mk.23 for instance, or go for the 40mm gun.

The 4 inch gun is a World War One gun with no Anti-Aircraft capability. I would suggest a twin 40mm Bofors instead. Also, your two 4 inch gun on the side of the ship is too close together.
