AU Blogish Thing

#1 Post by nighthunter »

A place where people can talk about their fleets, deployments, upgrades, future proposals, and other naval related subjects that don't include drawings.

Okay, as for the Dracan Commonwealth, I am currently working on Its Modern Air Force sheet to be posted soon. And there have been minor Revisions to the Naval Air Service Sheet as well. The Island Class CVA's are getting an update as well.

Alvama, I am a moderator, I give it longer

I'm still not sure when to have my AU. Should it be late 1960's to early 1970's? Should it be in the 1970's?
I don't know... Hmm...

See this turned out to be a good idea.

Barnest, for your AU go with what you feel comfortable with. My AU dates all the way back to the Victorian Era as far as The Colonial Navy goes all the way up to Currently. I am comfortable with it having such a long history because it gives me space to roam with it, new designs to play with, etc. Also ask yourself what appeals to you the most about those eras.

I think late '60's will be my AU... which does mean I will have to modify my carrier, both in terms of aircraft aboard, and it's weapons.
I will probably have to edit both my current ships as well.

But even so, I love the mix of just post-WW2 hulls and brand new missiles. It's very cool, and I don't like very new warships very much.

In addition, the westland wasp is a very cute helicopter :P

So yeah, tomorrow's job is going back and editing weaponry on my current ships, then re-posting them in my AU thread :D

Ah buggery. For that time I'm gonna have to do a lot of editing. I may scrub the carrier entirely, and redesign it.
The patrol boat is staying though, as is the frigate (once they're both converted)

well, most AU's aren't at one point ;) you have an start date and an end date, and you might keep those ships by just saying that those were build later in your AU.
