Wonder how the old Oslo class will behave in such a weather, when they look like in just a little sea (No wonder my stepfather (former lieutenant commander) calls them for seasickness ships) :
the weather is not so bad on this video, but it is funny that one of the comments in the video sounds in Norwegian: "And then the ship was washed!"

Probably go vertical!
The 150ft wave was a freak, a rescue helicopter had to dodge it in the middle of the 1998 Syd to Hobart race(900 feet face to back)
But that footage is still scary, image going out on deck!

I always have been a great fan of 'ship in storm focus'' photos!

in 2004, HSD boat "Baronessen" hit land in 20 knots when the engine would not stop. The boat came so far up on land that you could walk around the boat dry. the Press coordinator of HSD said: "We do not exactly need to worry about to mooring the boat now then!"

Cyclones in Australia....seriously scary
This is what happened to HMAS Attack (Christmas 1975)
Before(sistership)
After
Bear in mind, this was the smallest cyclone ever, Cyclone Mahina(1899) was so much worse, out of over 50 boats in Bathurst Bay, more then half disappeared and the rest were either rolled over in the shallows or thrown on to the shore, only one ship weathered the night

Cyclone 1, HMAS Attack 0.
Probably posting from and iPhone and naval terms befuddle it. If I say a ships' hill, you know what I meant.
