LEUT East is back on deck

Hello fellow Shipbucketeers,

After a very long absence, I am finally able to start doing my beloved drawings again. To explain, I was in the Royal Australian Navy as an officer and I developed chronic PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) as a result of my service. I gave up a lot as I was unable to maintain an interest in anything and consequently as a result I stopped posting in Shipbucket and maintaining my AU (Independant Federation of Australia).

However, I am finally getting some much needed and focussed help and support from the Australian Defence Veterans Association. One of the bonuses is, I have renewed my interest in Shipbucket and drawing. Already, I have started a couple of new ships and been updating my old designs and bringing them up to todays Shipbucket standards. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting back into my drawing again and once I have worked out how to upload them (I was using Dropbox in the past) you should be seeing some of my work soon.

Its good to see some familiar names on the forum as well as some very talented new names.

Watch this space...

Yours Aye

Anthony East (aka LEUT East).

welcome back :D

Just one tip, from the many new things in SB:
- We have lately went away from the standard window color, and started to use window colors that match more with the actual window colors (interpretation changes from person to person).
- Some people have also started to do shading slightly different, but still somewhat within SB-standard

Thanks Heuhen, I have a long learning curve ahead of me but I am really looking forward to being back. I am using imgur for posting my images which seems to be working.

Welcome back Lt. East! Great to see you here again!

I agree that Imgur is the easiest of the hosts now that Dropbox is gone. You can also use the SB Wiki software for uploading -- check with Acelanceloet on how to get an account.

Thanks mate, its been a very long and hard road travelled. Chronic PTSD (both military and civilian) is something very hard to diagnose and treat correctly. I have been very lucky when late last year I finally got the help I needed by the right people. Since then, everything has been smooth sailing (touch wood of course). Its great. I have restarted my Shipbucket drawing, got back into my guitars again and have a new look on life. Although my recovery will take quite some time, I am already feeling positive and open to everything that life throws at me.

I have been blessed :)
