Germany, F/A-18E/F and EA-18G

The other Boeing competitor for Germany's Tornado replacement program, the F/A-18EF Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler fared far better than the Strike Eagle with the Luftwaffe placing an order for 30 F/A-18E/Fs and 15 EA-18Gs in April 2020. Two years later, in early 2022, that order was cancelled and replaced by an order for 35 F-35A Lightning II aircraft (which had previously been rejected altogether).

Here's the XB-30, Lockheeds design for a long-range strategic bomber using the Constellation as a base. The wings and tail-plane was kept, and an entirely new fuselage was designed for them. A total of 10 .50 cal M2s were used as defensive armament.
