I had gotten bored, and did the G, a field modification of the C:

That's a very cool idea.
But - I hate to write it - there's something that I (and apparently everyone else) overlooked when You posted the C version and now this one:
Of course, tail gunner may be simply laying on his belly, but this way he'll have an extremely poor field of vision.

Not entirely unrealistic:
Though I'll admit it's at best pushing it.

Well, B-23 has been drawn in FD scale and You can check it and see that it's tail-gunner station is still bit higher.

It's actually about the same size, eswube, and who is to say he isnt laying at an angle?

Well, "
about the same size" is a very roomy expression.
If the gunner is laying there, then I still think that he won't see much through those tiny windows.

I've been inside the tail gun position of the B-23 Dragon and it is incredibly cramped. You have to lay down flat on your stomach, pull your arms close together, and have a very limited angle of fire due to the size of the .50-caliber and the ammo box, and the fact that your arms will hit the sides of the compartment. Aiming the gun upwards is especially difficult.

True Story! After getting to see Season 4 of Ice Pilots N.W.Ts here in Oz on YouTube a premonition of the late Buffalo Air Chief Pilot Arnie Schreder popped up in front of me while doing the finial touch ups to both the ASP/AEW and CoastGuarder HS748s telling me "You should Buff these Planes up next!". So here they are in Buffalo Airways Colours.
HS780 Andover (possible Curtis C-46 Commando Replacement)
HS748 Sr2 (possible Douglas DC-3/C-47 Skytrain/Dakota Replacement)
Macavia HS748 Turbine Tanker

Very nice work on those liveries.
