Turbinia had originally only one propeller per shaft but after she didn't go so fast, as he that build her wanted her to do. he started to look at the propeller and found out that more area the propeller cover, thus better push. so he added a lot of propellers to here...

BTW on this picture I say "NO comment" from me.... because I have been there...
