Interesting design, if somewhat ugly in my opinion.
No doubt it'll be popular on nationstates with additional launchers added and all credits removed.

Friedrich class batch 2

The second batch of the Friedrich class BCGs came with a new aft, the heli deck had changed place with 6" turret, the hanger was smaller and internal.
Four launchers for the A17M2 were replaced by a twin Tornado-SAM-launcher. The 2nd batch had also its critics, the changed launchers would make the ships to weak.
Friedrich class 3rd batch

The third batch and with six units the largest group was lenghtened slightly to give place for two additional A17M2-launchers beside the aft Tornado-launcher.
With 'Von Boyen' new ECM-systems were introduced to counter the latest american and japanese improvements in missile guidance.
All six ships sailed until the late 90s for the Kriegsmarine.

I forgot to mention it in my previous comment, but I must say I love those automatic 6" mounts. They look very intimidating.

I see as counterparts refitted Iwate or Nantai and Alaska CBs. Their 12" guns with sophisticated directors would easily outmatch even the rocket propelled ammo of the 6". If they can come close enough. First they'd have to deal with the Gungnir missiles.
