a proper scheme would do wonders
us naval aircraft were painted all over light grey in 1941.
I really dislike the black line outlining the transom and the hull knuckle, not being 90° angles I believe they shouldn't be black but rather a dark shade
I used Colo's drawing of the Brooklyn Class as guidance which has a black line.
AFAIK a radar on the surface director, and not fitting SG and SC-1 is not appropriate for the era
Only CXAM in 1941 and there weren't enough sets to go round.
Only one 5" gun seems anemic for such a ship
Yes, I agree but is May 1941 too early for a 5 inch twin? Also I think a crane is needed. Original design has two twins fore and aft of the island.
Are the bow .50-cal positions part of the original design?
No but I got inspiration from your SAVANNAH drawing.

Camouflage isn't real, because the Spanish Armada never disguised their ships. However, the neutrality marks, used between 1940 and 1945, are historic.

Kuzuryū-class standard carrier

While the Imperial Osoran Navy had been pioneering the role of the carrier in the fleet, the Kuzuryūs solidified their place as the main striking force of a battle group after the Osora-Hang War - where they demostrated their terrifying potential. While Osora had first used carriers in battle years earlier when they annexed Zhangzhou, battle experience allowed them to refine both their doctrine and actual carrier design, leading the world until well into the World War.

The KM Anton der Erste (CV-26) is the last ship of the Franz der Große class of Aerah aircraft carriers. The ship is named after the founder of the House of Homrighausen, Anton vir Homrighausen.

Construction began on 17 May 1940, when Helkvertlance & Harvard held a ceremonial steel cut for a 15-ton plate. The keel of Anton der Erste was laid down on 11 August 1940. He was christened on 31 February 1941. Anton der Erste entered the fleet joining the KM Kaiser (BB-41), which was the most feared ship by other countries in 1941. Originally scheduled for delivery in May 1941 to serve in the war effort, Anton der Erste was captured by the Greater Confederated Kingdoms in June 1941 and formally was commissioned for use in Western Aerah on 22 October 1941. She is expected to leave on her first deployment in late 1945. As of current, she is the world's largest aircraft carrier in service.

wasn't the reason for the superstructure to be on starboard side, due to propeller cavitation on propeller driven aircraft?

Immediate application of power can cause a propeller-driven aircraft to lurch left (cavitation has nothing to do with this), but this was not a severe enough problem to prevent the IJN from operating several carriers with port-side islands.
