I wasn't happy with the previous Sea Wolf VLS packs fitted aft. While they might have just about worked in that location just ahead of the hangar, fire-control was a problem. Not being able to use the 909 trackers I thought about fitting a 911 on each beam but that seemed very wasteful for what was 2x8 VLS packs. So I have stripped out the Sea Wolf entirely. Instead the Type 82s get two Phalanx to replace the previous SeaCat 2 mounts and a Millpost jammer replaces each MRS-3. A Type 1030 STIR is also fitted, moving the NSR 3D radar to the mainmast. Two GAM-BOI and Sea Gnat chaff/flare launchers complete the upgrade.
Eventually around 1992 they start replacing the Phalanx with Seastreak CIWS systems. Also they get LIROD Mk.2 for the 3in L/70 twin mount and Type 1007 navigation radars, including one aft for helicopter control. The Sea Kings give way to the WG.34 in the mid-1980s.

HMS Invincible shows the standard fit on completion. Alongside the real Wessex HU.5 and Scout AH.1 (a redraw of the current Wasp) is an AU aircraft, the Sea King HU.4 developed during the 1960s for the Royal Marines. Basically its a Westland developed CH-3B equivalent with a tail ramp.
HMS Illustrious shows the early 1990s fit with a transport HC.2 Merlin (note the TFR and IR sight in the nose) and the Lynx AH.6, a real never-were combining the HAS.2 airframe with the weapons and transport ability of the AH.5.

I was also able to solve the Sea Dart/Ikara space issue and found that my idea of having both was workable so now this is a genuine cruiser, in effect a British 'Kiev'.

only one minor remark: I doubt the ikara as situated here needs the blast shield, it fires mostly 45 degrees up so the blast would never come over the flight deck.

Other then that, do I get that you redrew the wasp and other real and/or never build aircraft, please put them on the shipbucket wiki for future use

I wanted to add a couple of retrospectives in honour of other founders of the Old Grey Funnel Line Faction that are no longer active here.
I'm not sure if this design ever made it to the first AU RN, but this sleek design by Bombhead always appealed to me. Bombhead's Flower Class was a modern update of the classic Flower Class corvettes.
I take no credit for the design of this vessel, all I did was to add a new underwater hull and bring it up to the latest drawing standards. I did remove the bow sonar and A/S torpedo tubes Bombhead had originally planned for this class, because I felt that they would have bumped up the cost of the these vessels. I did retain the towed sonar for use as a Towed Array Ship however.

As I said in the intro, this AU is not necessarily a complete AU. The ships in it can be swapped around and plugged in and out. In this case the Flowers would probably take the place of the Type 24 frigates I posted earlier, or they could replace the real-world Castle Class OPVs. In this AU I see the Flowers more as a back up to the OPV fleet as well as ASW screening operations in wartime.
