I'm not sure if that's a cannon bulge or something else, but there's certainly
something there. Whether that's the case for the other side I don't know since all the images I've been able to find are of the left side.

Iraqi and Egyptian UTI's had 23mm guns atleast

The UTI had a single 23mm or a 12.7mm on the port-side, so wouldn't show here. Although the Polish Lim trainer might have retained the full armament.
