That...doesn't answer Erik's observation in the least bit.

I know you've asked for limited technical critiques, but an the one Erik brought up is one that would prevent the ship from functioning effectively (not quite as bad as the first ship you posted, but close).

The outer four guns of the hextuple turret will not be able to fire at anything other than zero degrees elevation, and could probably be loaded only with a crane internal to the turret gunhouse.

Pretty brilliant.

So? That doesn't take away the flaws I(and everyone else) mentioned.
I'll quit as well, at least until I see improvements.

May I offer some advice being a fairly newbie my self.

I now you aren't intersted in top weights and machinery etc, but at least look closely at real life ships, there sizes, weights, internal volumes. Get to know the limit as to what can be fitted inside a hull, superstructure, turret. What sub systems and radars are required for weapons systems the sizes of magazines, how to get munitions and charges from magazines to turrets or weapon stations

Look at cutaway drawing of real world ships, try drawing a small real world ship first to get some idea what fits what don't and idea of this style.

I myself have had an interest in military technology since I was old enough to walk I think, but I've looked and studied close every peice of military hardware the UK has operated since the start of WW2 and to some extent German and US equipment. But I still don't profess to know a lot and have learnt a lot from listening to both the positive and negative comments from the older or more knowledgable members.

Not sure if you'll read or listen to any of this but Hay Ho that's my two bobs worth... Anyhow back to colouring pixels.....

Not sure if this is the place for this discussion, but is there a "this is how a turret works" thread in a similar fashion to the "how to draw a ship" threads? I wonder if it would fall into the same classification as the below deck parts thread...
