In 1970s South Viet Nam got 7 Barnegat class ships.
they were:
HQ-2 TRAN QUANG KHAI(AVP-36 Cook Inlet)
Image

HQ-3 TRAN NHAT DUAT(AVP-32 Yakutat)
Image

HQ-5 TRAN BINH TRONG (AVP-24 Chincoteague)
Image

HQ-6 TRAN QUOC TOAN(AVP-56Wachapreague)
Image

HQ-15 PHAM NGU LAO(AVP-23 Absecon)
Image

HQ-16 LY THUONG KIET(AVP-34 Bering Strait)
Image

HQ-17 NGO QUYEN(AVP-35 Castle Rock)
Image

after the Viet Nam war, All of them except the HQ-15 PHAM NGU LAO went to the Phillipines but she had falled into the Communist's hand.

PHAM NGU LAO kept her name and the null number become HQ-1 of North navy. The Vietnam People 's Navy appears to have retained its major components, such as the 5-inch 38-caliber (127-millimeter) gun and 81-mm mortars. In the mid-1980s, Soviet-made 37-mm and 25-mm guns were installed for close-in defense, as were two Soviet-made SS-N-2 (NATO reporting name "Styx") anti-ship cruise missile launchers and two Soviet-made quad SA-N-5 (NATO reporting name "Grail") surface-to-air-missile launchers
Anyway I had never seen the photos and profile, Anybody know?

Welcome to the Shipbucket Philodraco. :)
These are interesting drawings, but I'm afraid they are not in SB style, so unless they are purely for reference reasons, their place is rather in Non-Shipbucket Drawings forum.
As for the North Vietnamese modernization of Pham Ngu Lao - I've heard about it too, but never seen any photo or anything similar.

Another stage of USCG modification: the crane has been replaced with a mast (plus several minor alterations).

Excellent work WhyMe

WhyMe an ! Me have been wondering what gun is, the Norwegian one carrying, she was converted into a school ship. The 5" gun did never work when Norway received it from US...

but the gun behind the 5" gun, what is it. I have been thinking about, that it either are an old 105 mm gun from an old destroyer (for example Sleipner class) or an British 4"-4.5" gun from an retired vessel, Norway had a couple of British ships after WW2.

Image

For WhyMe, radars on the picture looks like the British "Type 293" "type 294" radar

Rangefinder, either US Mk 51-52 (40mm rangefinder) training purpose, or an British destroyer director Mk II or Mk III (would make sense, since the Norwegian Navy had many British destroyers in it's fleet)

to me that looks like normal shielded bofors 40mm L/70 mount with something side of it, distorting its appereance from that angle
