Yeah, but the ship's lineart does have inconsistencies depending on which angle you view it from. I got my ref for proportion from this guy's project..a 6-foot long R/C replica of the Daedalus. He altered the length somewhat (shorter now) but it is still alot bigger than a super carrier.

The pic of the DD in http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q168 ... inHull.jpg looks to be an AU upgrade of a Haruna DDH.

Updates.

Started adding colors and details. I had to exceed the limits of the templates available. None are big enough :P

The Sturgeons are probably, actually, the prettiest subs ever. I love me them aerodynamic shapes. Probably from my aerospace background.

Alvama, the moment you use words like pretty in a sentence, it'll by definition be subjective.
Personally I prefer the Springeren class SSK.

UPDATE

Finally got the basic SV-51 Orel fighter shape done, along with the booster and composite missile-fuel drop tank. The sub carries around twelve of them and is capable of launching them from periscope depth.

good work on the auerstadt! for the detailing I refer to the scene when it is flying in the air.... you have the movie, I suppose? otherwise I should take a look if I can find it for some screenies.....

the SV-51 looks weird though. I would suggest to make it a little bit bulkier, or at least make the gap between hull and engines a little bit 'deep'. that would improve her looks a lot. I was on the point of suggesting to draw her myself, but I was unable to reach you because of my ban and you did it before me....

good luck with these 2 ungodly hard to draw units. :P you'll need it.

Welcome back acelancelot..

Thanks for the interest. I don't have the movie version of M-Zero or the OVA so any screenies will be totally appreciated. This thing is not the easiest ship to draw :P

I've updated the SV-51 a little but i am not sure if it should look bulkier, not in SB scale :P The Yamato 1/60 version looked extremely skinny and fragile, especially those wings.

My reference came from the Hasegawa based side view found at http://www.macross2.net/m3/macrosszero/sv-51.htm

Please feel free to modify my drawing though, i would love to see your interpretation of the SV-51.

P.S..have you thought of doing the Tuatha de Danaan from FMP ?

You can probably find the lineart for the FAV-8 and Sea Mare aircraft carried by her.
