Thanks! Was just working on a Sukhoi Superjet 100 with a gradient livery, but Kolourpaint randomly crashed on me with no warning and no notification, costing me hours of painstaking work.

(Turns out gradients make shading a very tricky prospect.) That's while I'll be saving drawings at regular intervals before finishing them from now on.

Use a proper tool like Photoshop (or even GIMP) and gradients become something you can do in seconds!

Making the gradient itself was relatively simple, thanks to an online tool. The trouble was making the panels and other non-black lines match the gradient.

At any rate, I redid the drawing and actually got it better than the first time. :)

This one is for my present-day AU, a Sukhoi Superjet 100 operated by the Wikipedian low-cost carrier Wiqid.

After some practice with livery application, including the patience-testing exercise with the Wiqid gradient, I decided to proceed with my main AU vision, Wikipedian Airways. The livery is adapted from the old US Airways livery, with a different logo, alternating stripes, and a swooping cheatline. Note also the blue/white/red color scheme on the engine pods and flap track fairings. Depicted here is a Boeing 787-9.

EXCELLENT work there Colo. I must say that I think the Phantom is probably my favourite combat aircraft of all time (closely followed by the Harrier and Buccaneer). But jolly good show old chap. Well Done :D

... And really well done on that livery W&U. Most striking :!: Jolly Well Done to you too sir :P
