You really don't want to put a Hazemeyer on the bow. Heapings of seawater + 1940ies electronics = Not a good idea.
umm .... yeah, hadn't considered that element of it. I do believe I'll swap that out for a standard quad mount.Thiel wrote:You really don't want to put a Hazemeyer on the bow. Heapings of seawater + 1940ies electronics = Not a good idea.
I had probably already changed it by the time you saw it. Wasn't much of a task, so I just swapped the hazemeyer out for one less likely to fry the crew whenever a wave comes over the bow.ALVAMA wrote:That's not a Hazemeyer , but the comment is correct!

Yeah... That one isn't much better. And it's about five years too early and completely out of sync with the rest of your AA which are all converted 20mm mounts.Zephyr wrote:umm .... yeah, hadn't considered that element of it. Got a recomendation for a suitable one? What about one of the quad or octuple 2 Pdr mounts, but with newer 40mm instead of the older 2 Pdr's?Thiel wrote:Yeah... That one isn't much better.
