I don't think dropping 1 turret will get them to fit in the other barbets, just to expensive to be worth it IMO.

The only swaps that happened are 3 smaller guns per turret to twins with bigger guns (3x14 to 2x16 or 3x6 to 2x8 etc.)

So, should I have extended the ship and added another 14 in turret midship, or I remove the midship turrets completely?

Well I would just build a new class of ships in 1914 (with a modified improved design) for how ever many guns you think you need.
I just don't think its worth using the old hull, you would need to take it apart and rebuild it to much for it to be worth it.

Okay, as suggested by JSB, a new class of ship will appear instead of a reconstruction of the Navansha class battleships.

Later in 1914, Rossiya observed that the other major navies were building ships with larger cannons. Not wanting to be outgunned, the Rossiyan Navy begins to draw plans for a new battleship-class with bigger guns. They also decided to reduce the number of casemated gun mountings as the Rossiyan Navy begin a doctrine where cruisers and destroyers will replay the role of the casemated gun mountings, in short a layered defense doctrine was adopted by the Rossiyan Navy.

The new battleship class that came from the Republic of Rossiya was the Andronov class battleship

Andronov class battleship is a powerful ship as it has six 14 inch guns and fourteen 140 mm casemated cannons.
Her top speed is 25 knots thanks to her 24 boilers and 4 steam turbines producing 77500 shp.
Her armour is 15 inch of belt armour and 2 inch of deck armour.
Her full complement is 954 men and women.

A magnificent looking ship, but I think thee is not enough room for the engines. The fore funnel is crowded between the two middle turrets, and the aft funnel between the aft turrets and the middle turrets, don't leave much room for engines. 24 boilers take a lot of space, and if they are coal fired they also need space for the stokers to shovel the coal from bunkers into the boilers.
As a side note it is customary to credit the original artists first and your name to be last on the credits line.

So I need to stretch the ship?
And thanks for the side note

Hope you don't mind me doing a cut and paste of why it may not get 25Kn,
(I don't think it will get anywhere near it, you cant fit 77500 shp IMO)
The ??? area could hold boilers but doesn't have funnels and I think your TR is to small, would it be better to cut out one of the centre turrets and rejig the funnels ?

Image

also 15 inch of belt armour and women in 1915 ?
