Re: KHT Projects
I like her though I find myself wonder if trunking the funnels would be a more pleasing arrangement for the boats. Either way, she looks good.

Looks like a reduced Littorio class battleship. The 8" (if that is what they are) look almost tiny on that hull.
The Italian flavour looks good, I could see these in place of Bolzano/Trento types with 3x3 8" in place of the 4x2 8" types.

That's a nice looking design, you can see the Italian-esque styling but it not too obvious.

Thanks. I may look into it, if I find the time and energy.Blackbuck wrote:I like her though I find myself wonder if trunking the funnels would be a more pleasing arrangement for the boats. Either way, she looks good.
Thanks. Indeed, the Littorio was one of my main sources of inspiration for this one. And yes, I wanted a big hulled ship.Krakatoa wrote:Looks like a reduced Littorio class battleship. The 8" (if that is what they are) look almost tiny on that hull.

Thanks. I feel the Italian influence is rather overwhelming, but that's probably because I spent most of the drawing process looking at ships of the Regina Marina.Hood wrote:That's a nice looking design, you can see the Italian-esque styling but it not too obvious.
Thank you. It seems I've gotten some of the old spark back. Hopefully there will be more ships down the pipeline.eswube wrote:Great to see You back and great to see Your new designs.

Another cruiser, this one of more modest specs. Laid down in 1932, she's armed with eight 8" guns in four turrets, eight 4" DP guns in four twins, and mounts an anti-air platform with four twin 1,5" anti-air guns. She's capable of a speed of 32 knots, and armoured with a 3" belt, 1,5" deck armour, and 5" in the main turrets. The bridge and tower structure took heavy inspiration from the Finnish Väinemöinen class.
Cheers, folks.

Sorry Hugo, I do not seem to be able to 'see' the drawing. All I get is the X image.
Sounds like a good design too, more Finnish Light Houses.

Re: KHT Projects
that because he didn't use the dropbox public link.
Re: KHT Projects
Bugger, suspected that would happen.
How do you fix it? I can use Photobucket, I just feel like dropbox is less of a pain.

Re: KHT Projects
If you have the newer Dropbox, changing the '=0' at the end of the text to '=1' should reveal all. (That's what I do)
It still needs to be between the "image" tags of course
