Re: Submarines
Awesome work on K(alamity)26!
That was such an absurd design, but certainly worth doing in SB scale!

Re: Submarines
Why did they have 3 guns ?
What target will need 3 guns but will not be worth a torpedo ? or be to dangerous to fight on the surface ?
But still a nice pic, in a nice thread Darthpanda .

Don't ask why they need 3 guns. Better ask why they were steam powered!
And generally, these 3 guns (and these subs' concept in general) was a result of somewhat misguided ideas in the Admiralty about "fleet submarine".

Re: Submarines
Yes but steam makes sense (well a bit) as they needed the speed,
but 3 guns ? doesn't let you fight destroyers on the surface but is to much v a merchant ship ? what does it give you that 1 x 4 inch doesn't ?

edited : hum Thiel, I agree but aren't they supposed to be fleet subs ?

Re: Submarines
More firepower than an armed merchantman.
“Close” only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and tactical nuclear weapons.
