Well done Cascadia!

Confirming your status as the King of this sub-genre (not that it's necessary).

Keep it up :)

Together with the Shaanxi Y-8 I made some further An-12 variants based on drawings found in the FS-scale thread

The last but second Y-8 is (as far as I can say) not a real variant, but a blank version of the latest AEW and ASW variants. In case someone wants to make further modifications to this variant.

You you really should use the standard window color.

Such as this one:

Cascadia's window colour/s are definitely more realistic and look a great deal better than the 'Standard window colour'. Rules are there to be bent occasionally :P

I disagree. Cascadia's windows could also represent a dark painted panel. The standard sb window colour is meant to be 'a window, and nothing else'. realism, considering windows, is almost impossible, since they are completely dependent on what is behind them and lighting conditions.
Drawings are credited with J.Scholtens
I ask of you to prove me wrong. Not say I am wrong, but prove it, because then I will have learned something new.

Great additions from everyone.
I'm pretty easy with the window colouring actually, I think its the last of the 'cartoonish' shades we still possess from the old days and can stick out a bit given the more accurate shades we're now using for underwater hulls, propellers etc. The same goes for aircraft too, though I agree at SB scale for aircraft such details could be missed (though portholes tend to be obvious on airliners etc. not to get mistaken for other panels).
