Re: the Republic of Tequilapoli
I was trying (and failed) to draw a small bulb on the bow...easily fixed. Although yes, one of these Destroyers DID run over a Japanese submarine.
The thirty Panther Class Destroyers were responsible for escorting Tequilapoli's surface action groups (Three: One built around a BB and two built around Heavy Cruisers) as well as protecting convoys traveling to and from Australia and the Philippines. The most notable action these ships undertook themselves was attacking Japanese warships forming a part of the Tokyo Express. SAG-2 (Built around the TNS New London, including the Heavy Cruiser New London and five Destroyers) Participated in the pre-invasion bombardment of Iwo Jima. Not as nimble as the slightly smaller American Fletcher class, the ships can match their speed.
Out of Scenario, I did draw inspiration from the Gearing class.

Okay, updated a bit...Added radars, sonar, and removed the crack. Also changed the funnels.

Re: the Republic of Tequilapoli
The mast is too tall and wide, you have an extra AA director in the front, and the 20mm mount forward would be washed out in rough weather.

Re: the Republic of Tequilapoli
Definately right about the forward 20 and the mast...I figured 1 director per mount...Can I do it with less? And if I was going to remove one, wouldn't using an aft-mounted director cause excess parallax errors for the forward mount?

Re: the Republic of Tequilapoli
You can remove one of the forward directors without penalty. Just look at the Gearing class.

Re: the Republic of Tequilapoli
Oh, okay. You're talking the 5" directors. I was thinking the 40 directors. If I remove the second one above the forward superstructure, I could lower the mast without having that director interfering.
