This thread should come with a public health warning!
The quality is top notch, I love how you have made a distinctive national style that looks unique but is subtle.

She was fitted for, but not with four additional 16-cell lightweight VLS, to be mounted forward abreast of the main ASTER launcher. This VLS could hold either VL Mica close defence SAMs (Range 12 nm, capable of engaging supersonic sea-skimmers like Oniks/BrahMos) or wire-guided Polyphem lightweight antisurface missiles for dealing with threats up to 32 nm out and not worthy of spending an ANS on them; they also had loitering capability and could double as short-range surveillance drones.
32 nautical mile range for a
wire guided missile? Is it really possible to use a wire that long?

Hi Magus
I didn't make that one up. It was a real-life German project cancelled in 2002 as a cost-cutting measure. It was supposed to have a range of 60 kilometers, equaling slightly over 32 nm.

torpedo wire is 10 to 30 km long, and that is under water, where you have to fight the water pressure and resistance. In air, you don't have that

Well that's embarrassing, I completely forgot about how submarine torpedoes are wire-guided.
