I think main arms like fighters ore tanks for Yugoslavia had to bee from some of the main powers (US, USSR, UK, France) due the political games.

Perhaps. But one would think that with Yugoslavia's defence doctrine, SAAB's would be particularly suited to their air force. Imagine a line of Drakens inside the Željava airbase.
