Re: Random picture thread Mk 3
You may be right, and I've misread the caption. It does seems to represent the Mcknuckney Truck Co. entry to an Army competition, and as I understood it that truck was designated the M26 while the one from the Diamond company was designated T13.
Thank you Kim for the crest

Neither, in description of pic it is the Diamond T M20 ballast tractor with Fruehauf T3 trailer (upper one) and Dart T13 with Fruehauf T28 trailer (lower one).
Dart Trucks Company is or rather was absolutely unknown to me, I did found some info about it but not too much. Founded in 1903 in Anderson, Indiana. The company was renamed Dart Mfg. Co. in 1907 and relocated to Waterloo, Iowa. Restructured and was renamed several times, moving to Kansas City, Missouri in 1925 as the Dart Truck Co. To meet the demand for heavy trucks to support the many civil engineering projects during the Great Depression, such as dams and highways, the company introduced an off-highway truck in 1937. In 1939 it introduced one of the first Diesel-electric drive trucks. In 1958 the company was taken over by Pacific Car (Paccar). Paccar sold off the off-higway division to the Unit Rig and Equipment Company in 1984. Terex then acquired Unit Rig in 1988 to add to its mining equipment division.
That's all, also I did not found anything more solid about T13, no specs or something. I still dig, but for now, nothing.

When it's cold and a lot of snow, you do, what you have to do! For example dig 2 meter down in snow, just to get a nice an warm bath!

The polar bear digs a hole in snow, get in and sleep warm. But in Norway, they dig the hole, lower the bath tube inside and get in. Nature is always a good teacher.
