Damn, the message says this is my first visit since 28 December 2010. Scary.

Anyway, this is beautiful! I'm one of the people who wrote the Wikipedia article on this class, so I'm ecstatic to see such a beautiful drawing... I'm used to seeing blurry black and white photos.

Both have been drawn by Hood ages ago, and are available for viewing on the SB archive.

I know i'm bumping again an old thread, but beign working on the Nagato class i now have the chance to update the tosa class drawings; that's because both Nagato and Mutsu recieved during their 1934--1936 reconstruction the very same guns and turrets that were initially planned to arm the tosa class battleships.
Turrets where modificed with the fitting of extra armour and a massive 10-meter rangefander on top of them, but the rest of their structure was the same from when they where built int he early 20's; using the guns i've just drawn for the Nagato class (and wich will be shown as soon i'll complete Mutsu as of 1937) and deleting the features fitted during the 30's i got the original Tosa guns wich i placed on my old drawing adjusting also the barbette to their correct size:

Fun fact: construction on Tosa was delayed by two months due to a labor strike. I wonder if that would've been enough to put her close to completion - they might've scrapped Fuso for the treaty limits instead.
