Obviously, research and study of the USN in World War II (and the periods immediately before and after)
Another period of interest is the early USN "six frigates" and the War of 1812 but this rarely manifests on SB.
More active pursuits are running, mountain climbing (when possible), and recently road cycling which has become a major focus - essentially any kind of endurance sport except swimming
