Got distracted and came up with some Eagles...some more of the "should have been" ships.Image

Space 1999 Eagle (Rescue)

If I don't burn out on Eagles maybe we'll see the Science Pod and one or two freight pods from the TV show.

Edit: Where the heck is that FD SciFi Thread? These really belong there.

Hey Craig, I've got an Orion 3 (in SB scale) kicking around, do you mind if I post it?

TimothyC,

Go for it! Absolutely!!! I was going to do one myself, may do it regardless. May be fun to compare and critique the interpretations later.

I was also eyeballing some models I've had partially built around for years.

The the Captain Cardboard resin Aries 1B from 2001 I've got (the small one...not the 15" one). Have the drawings so that may be Shipbucket fodder. Maybe...

Ditto on the resin Space 1999 Hawk models I've got. Both poorly done resin work with bad parting-lines, bubbles, some warps. Have a bunch of drawings as well so, potential fodder.

Some of the Real Ships may wait for a bit. This SciFi TV/movie stuff is a fun distraction.

Thank you.

First, the Pan Am and all-white version:

And second, because I can, a couple of AU/non-official Orions:

Great work chaps!

My modest contribution here are another Orion and Boeing cst-100. I know Orion's solar panel isn't accurate, but I simply couldn't do it right...

Nice, thou that version of the Orion has been superseded by an ATV-derived Service Module equipped Orion.
95% of my drawings are destined for NS, 4.9% for fun, & .1% serious.
Worklist:
Space Shuttle
Atlas V
Delta II/III
Project Constellation

Thanks for comments lads. My only excuse here is several references... Probably I've mixed SM itself with older solar panels, which in ATV seems to be rectangular. Also the color might be more white. I can only say I like grey: in most glaring appearance (finnish word rÀikeimmillÀÀnkin) the shades of gray are quite temperate
