Quite reasonable for me. A heavily armed FAC to look (despite classified as corvette) is the Malaysian Laksamana Class, perhaps its layout is useful to you.

Thank you for your input odysseus. Yes, the Laksamana class does give me a better idea of what I can do, so thank you!

I've updated the frigate with larger array faces, as per APDSmith's recommendation. The Array was originally to be bought from Recherche, but after some thought, I decided to have Denton work in parallel with Recherche and develop an independent and similar, but compatible system. The Denton system is called Ārai, with an ambiguous meaning of 'shield, guard, protector.' The Salidan system will be called Sciath, which is 'shield' in Gaelic.

Looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing the FACs.

There's a good reason for that - I haven't uploaded it yet ;)

Thanks Rowdy! The FACs are being a little difficult, primarily in the terms of armament, and I cannot make up my mind. This leads me to ask anyone who knows why the Israeli Sa'ar 4.5 have two types of anti-ship missiles, the Harpoon and Gabriel? Can anyone elaborate on this? It will at least help me make the decision on the armament loadout.

Ahh, I see. Well then, I'll keep that under wraps ;)

Some comments for the frigate:

-I have never seen before frigate with azipod under hull. She is the first.
-Usually props are closer to rudder
-Why helipad does not extended furter aft? IS there some VDS up there?
-I think that stern should be more vertical, this would increase a bit wateline length.

Nice design though and assume that Arai radar is very capable.

Sa'ar 4.5 : I think that Gabriel is used for targets which does not justify the use of Harpoon. As a domestic Israeli design, Gabriel is much cheaper than Harpoon and exists in large stock. Or the other side, probably Gabriel has smaller minimum range (Harpoon has 8nm).

Taiwan also use HF-2/HF-3 missiles mix in their Cheng Hung frigates (modified, Taiwanese built OHP). The cheaper HF-2 (roughly equivalent with Harpoon) would be e.g launched against a Chinese FAC/corvette/frigate, and the expensive, supersonic HF-3 for high value targets with strong anti-missile defense (e.g a Chinese Type 052 destroyer) or even Type 081 LHD.

Re the Sa'ar.
From what I can find online nobody knows including, it would seem, the Isreali navy.

Drop down azimuth drives aren't unheard of. The OHP class had one for example.
“Close” only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and tactical nuclear weapons.
That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error

Two on the OHPs, actually, on either side of the keel.

@odysseus:
-You're right, the rudder does seem to be a little far from the props. I'll fix that.
-Yes, I envisioned a VDS at the stern
-You're probably right, but I do like the way it looks.

Re: Sa'ar 4.5, that makes sense, but it's still a little weird. For the Denton FAC, I will stick with one missile type.

@Thiel: I find that incredibly funny, but it's no matter anymore. I'll stick with one missile type.
