I sent him this thread's drawings of any ships from "Furashita's Fleet" some time last year...I hope he got to see them and liked them.

Sad news indeed. I, myself had a great regard for his site, in fact one of my first naval bookmarks

Very sad news, I remember well his "Furashita's fleet", many years ago, when I was younger too...

Furashita's fleet was my first experience in the never-were community as well. This just absolutely sucks.

Another IJN contributor has left us. For those who frequent the j-aircraft.com IJN message board, or the Tully's Board on combinedfleet.com, Mr. Bill Somerville passed away on 29 March 2013 of a heart attack. I knew Bill from my years of IJN research, and he helped me out immensely with photos and CO research. He will be deeply, deeply missed.
