Great work, except for odd shading of the rudder (it's basically flat-ish, so one shade overall + highlight along the front edge would suffice) and bow bulge (it's shaded on upper-forward side, which is where the light would fall had it been not submerged).

MV American Melody. One of 6 modern american river cruise ships
Re: Merchant Ships
I agree with you about the rudder shades, I'll correct it. But the shades of the bulge not so clear. The bulge has a form of cigare, inserted to the standart merchant hull. So it has sharp curves in places of contact with hull. So the shadows should be shown in these places and on the top side of the bulge, as drawn, I think.eswube wrote: ↑April 15th, 2022, 8:30 am Olekit24

Re: Merchant Ships
Nice work on the American Melody, but use the standard 1000x385 template, please. (1000x330 is allowed when ship is not depicted below the waterline, but otherwise smaller templates are strictly not allowed)
Well, according to my understanding of SB shading style, the cross section of the bow shaded the way You did it looks like that:olekit24 wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2022, 7:37 am I agree with you about the rudder shades, I'll correct it. Re: Merchant Ships
This ship I have drawn for one year, started it just after the news that AIDAcara, the first AIDA cruises ship had been sold to the russian owners. So, here she is: AIDA - AIDAcara - Astoria Grande.
Re: Merchant Ships
And two AIDAcara's semi-sisters: AIDAaura and AIDAvita
