Its humbling to recieve praise from some of shipbucket's most celebrated designers, thankyou very much! I intend to launch a website soon to showcase my drawings for free and to provide information on the things I come across while researching for each ship.

After 5 years I'd like to think so!
Sorry for the spam messages, but this is the only time I get to churn out drawings since I start back at uni next week and things will slow down to a crawl. Two drawings for your consideration tonight;
1.
This is how Olympic appeared shortly after the outbreak of hostilities in 1914.
Her superstructure was painted 'mid gray', while her funnels were painted all black in a similar fashion to the RMS Lusitania.
Her configuration remained the same as that of the 1913 refit.

2.
After completing a few Atlantic runs, Olympic was requisitioned by the British Government for use as a troop transport vessel. Her designation was changed from R.M.S (Royal Mail Steamer) to H.M.T (Hired Military Transport, often falsely interpreted as 'His Majesty's Transport') at this time. She was given interesting changes to help fulfill this role, including a 12 pounder naval cannon mounted on a platform on the forecastle deck, a 4.7 inch naval cannon on a platform on the poop deck, extra lifeboats on the aft well deck and a canvas screen/platform atop the bridge. She would remain in this configuration and paint scheme until 1917 when she was given a major overhaul. including more lifeboats, a dazzle paint scheme and more powerful armament.

So there we go! A good night's work.
Now I hope to get a good night's sleep!
