Re: USS John Kendrick class FFG
Looking much better! It will be interesting to see the final configuration.

If it's close enough to cast a shadow, I think the flying house wins initiative.
Bronies are like the Forsworn. Everyone agrees that they are a problem but nobody wants to expend the energy rooting them out.

Indeed, the final modernization.

And here they are, the 1990 modernization, shown in 1992 shortly after Desert Shield/Storm:
And the final modernization, as of 2004, when she received the new Mk-54 MAKO ASW Torpedoes.

Don't think that the US Navy would be using the old Mk112 ASROC Launcher in 2004.

Re: USS John Kendrick class FFG
Is it possible to squeeze in some Mk 41 cells with VL ASROC? You wouldn't need that many of them. Other than that, looking very good. Me being me, I'd try to find somewhere to squeeze in a RAM launcher. Perhaps an extension to the fantail for it to perch on?
Even if you keep the old launcher to have Harpoon as well, spares shouldn't be hard to come by, with all the vessels from that era going to the knackers during the 90s. I think Japan still uses it as well, so could likely get spares from them, assuming that you weren't the one providing them with theirs to begin with....

Re: USS John Kendrick class FFG
you might want to update the SLQ-32 with the different versions as well.

Actually, very no.
Re: USS John Kendrick class FFG
I'm not even sure you'll be able to squeeze the aforementioned vertical reloading system in.
“Close” only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and tactical nuclear weapons.
