Thank you for submitting an entry. Unfortunately, I must ask you to remove three of your flags (from those in a row along the top, not the ones on the ship itself). Under the updated Challenge Rule 2, a drawing may include "one of the following: ship badge, unit insignia, manufacturer logo, national flag, or naval ensign". Multiple flags are no longer permitted. With that said, I will permit any one of the excellent flags you have drawn, not necessarily just the national flag or the naval ensign.

Re: Please Select One Drawing
Sorry about that, I understand!Kiwi Imperialist wrote: ↑July 29th, 2022, 9:40 pmIt is great to see your unique design come to fruition. However, as per Challenge Rule 1, each participant is limited to a single image. I will only include one in the final poll. Would you prefer the version with the waterline or the one without?
I will go with the one with its weapons showing. In the poll, can it be referred to as a Semi-Submersible Stealth Corvette so it isn't mistaken for a sub? Thanks!

Re: Modern Stealth Corvette Challenge
Corvette Project 20388M. Russia
On his website - https://alternathistory.com/, he posted the corvette Project 20388, which was previously posted at the link - viewtopic.php?f=35&t=10549&start=10#p205476, and was criticized for it. I was pointed out that the armament of the ship does not correspond to the armament of not only the corvette of the future, but even the corvettes of the present. I was also recommended how a promising Russian corvette could be armed. According to these recommendations, I upgraded the ship. Developed in fact a new project.
This time I limited myself to only a side projection, since I posted a top view earlier and you can easily imagine what and where is placed on the ship. Further, in fact, the picture and the history of the ship.
After the entry into service of the Corvettes 20388, which were the development of the corvettes of the Project 20380, a number of serious shortcomings were revealed, the elimination of which resulted in the creation of an almost new ship, called the Project 20388M.
First of all, it turned out that the Redut air defense system was absolutely incompatible with the radars installed on the ship. And it was not possible to install suitable radars because of their greater mass. Therefore, the designers, with the approval of the leadership of the fleet, decided to completely remove medium and long-range anti-aircraft missiles from the ship. The military considered that on corvettes, which are ships of the near sea zone, such systems are not needed, since the water area in which they will operate will be covered by coastal anti-aircraft missile systems. If the ship goes beyond the range of these air defense systems, then it will be able to protect itself with the help of very successful Pantsir-M missile and artillery systems, of which 2 pieces were installed on the ship.
The installation of the Shells on the ship made it possible to remove the obsolete Kortik missile and artillery systems and the quick-firing artillery 30 mm AK-630 Gatling guns.
By the time work began on the Project 20388M corvettes, work had just been completed on the new Ka-65 Minoga marine helicopter. It was then decided to place it on the ship instead of the old Ka-27 helicopters.
True, unlike previous ships, the helicopter hangar was placed on the deck, and not in the hull, getting rid of expensive, unreliable and very capricious helicopter lifts in operation.
Anti-ship functions on the ship will have to be carried out by Uran anti-ship missiles, which were placed on the corvette by 4 pieces in launchers in the main superstructure.
The main gun mount was also replaced. Now on ships, instead of a heavy and overly powerful 130 mm cannon for such ships, a quick-firing 100 mm A-190 artillery mount was installed.
All these changes led to the fact that the displacement of the corvettes became not only less than that of the previous Project 20388, but even less than that of the basic Project 20380 corvettes and amounted to 2,200 tons.
This project turned out to be quite successful and cheap enough to become a prototype for mass ships of the near sea zone of the Russian Navy.
