Some minor mods. I am reluctant to do any more as I don't want to completely change the original design.

Thanks chaps, this has been a design which has evolved over the last 3 years.

LEUT_East wrote:Van Diemen Class Fast Combat Vessel

The Van Diemen Class is a large combat support trimaran and is capable of operating in multiple mission scenarios.

These vessels have a rear-loading ramp, capable of embarking most IFAA vehicles including the Abrams Tank as well as containerised mission modules.
-SNIP-

Missiles ESSM (3 x 8 Cell Mk41 VLS Launchers), Harpoon SSM (8 x Canisters semi recessed in superstructure)
Helicopters 2 x MRH 90 Taipans
Okay, I just looked over this again, and I noticed two things. First, this ship should easily be capable of handling four Taipans or two Chinooks. I can imagine it only carrying two Taipan for normal operations, but trimarans have ludicrous space available for aviation ops. And this IS a combat support ship.

Second: THREE MK-41VLS filled with ESSM? You do realize those things come quad-packed? There's 96 airdefense missiles on that ship! For it's intended role, one maybe two MK-41 should be more than enough. Right now this thing is more capable than your old Brisbane in the AD role...

Aurora Australis II

The Aurora Australis II is a vessel owned by the Australian Antarctic Commission (part of the Federal Government) and is used to support research operations in Australian Antarctic Territories.

The ship is based on the Norwegian Svalbard Class OPV beautifully drawn by Laser_one.

There's no such thing as "nothing left to draw" If you can down 10 pints and draw, you're doing alright by my standards

Very nice! I think the azipod is very over-shaded, though.

Gidday Easty
It's possible you may have lost resupply capacity by not having any forehead crane and deck space.
AA often carries major items forehead and unloading from there gives bow on capacity which appears lacking here?
Just a thought.
