Very pretty little floatplane there Whyme
Work list(Current)
Miscellaneous|Victorian Colonial Navy|Murray Riverboats|Colony of Victoria AU|Project Sail-fixing SB's sail shortage
How to mentally pronounce my usernameRow-(as in a boat)Don-(as in the short form of Donald)Dough-(bread)
"Loitering on the High Seas" (Named after the good ship Rodondo)

There's no such thing as "nothing left to draw" If you can down 10 pints and draw, you're doing alright by my standards

Su-33

#164 Post by Gollevainen »

After needing Su-33UB on my AU projects, I decided to give my own Su-27 drawing that deserved Su-33 treatment as well. Alavama has done his own version whit his own personal style, and very fine drawing was that. This is more down to my own style and analog to the base Su-27. I don't know if I submit it to the folder or not, atleast Im not in any way replacing any drawings.

and here is the UB:

Also, on the same wane, for same purposes (AU) I started messing around with Su-34. DP has done this, but for some reason its in different scale than my Su-27, so I decided to produce similar analog to my own series of this one as well. I show it here in the AU scheme so that it doesen't "step" any toes so to speak.

Love the Beaufighters! Especially the RAAF ones.

The only thing I'm not sure about is the squadron code for the 456Sqn IIf. I believe they used the RX as the squadron code. SA was worn by their Defiants before they converted but I've never heard of Beaus wearing th SA code.

@Gollevainen
Last time I checked, the canopies of Su-33KUB and Su-34 looked bit different - especially considering amount of transparent elements. ;)

@Wizard
Thanks. My source for the Beau IIF from No.456 RAAF was: Allan W. Hall, Bristol Beaufighter, Warpaint Series No.1, page 3.
Indeed though it looks that this Beau had to be from 1941 not 1942 (seems that they were introduced to the unit around September 1941, while Defiants remained until November and code letters were changed at the end of 1941).

yes, IF you drawn the transparent objects, but I've retained the orginal style solid canopies, and then naturally all things that are inside the glass, don't show.
