Anyone want to guess what this sliderule is for?

At first look I was thinking it was some sort of Map... measuring system.... But the I started to wonder if it's an mapping system for ship cargo vs speed and fuel consumption.

Not quite. It's a loading computer for a cargo ship. It's used to calculate stability.

I was close, it was something like that I was thinking about.

"Close" only counts with tactical nuces... specially in the 50MT area....

Aparently the SAR boat's in Norway had so little to do, that they had to arrange some action by them self!

Norwegian coast guard, do have some sense of humor. see if you spot it.
