I wouldn't have taken anything other than a light truck or SUV up that mountain pass. Tacomas/Hiluxes, Datsuns and 4-Runners are pushing it. Anything bigger wouldn't fit, and any dumbass lifted American truck with a high center of gravity just might go tumbling over the edge on some of the washed out areas.
There's a reason Japanese vehicles are driven around the world and last forever...

Totally agree! The Japanese makes cars that lasts both in quality and price pretty good

Don't forget the Russians (Soviet ones). They were easy to fix, unlike vehicles nowadays.
