Re: Real Gunbucket For Real Designs
Hello,
Today I have drawn several rifles: the Lee-Metford Mk I, the RSC 1917 and the RSC 1918.
This Magazine Lee-Metford Mk I* have been depicted in 1893. It's a bolt action rifle that is the predecessor of the Magazine Lee-Enfield.
The Fusil Automatique Modèle 1917, also known as the RSC M1917 after Ribbeyrolles, Sutter and Chauchat, is a semi-auto rifle developed by the French.
The Fusil Automatique Modèle 1918 is its successor, shorter than the M1917 and generally more practical and reliable.
Thank You!

Looks good. Keep it up.
Re: Real Gunbucket For Real Designs
very nice Lee Metford hope you do the carbines and the Lee Enfield 1895 and its carbines.

Hello,
Thanks for the kind words. The Magazine Lee Enfield seems to have very few pics floating about unfortunately or I can't figure out if it's a late Magazine Lee Metford or an MLE...
Anyway, I'll try to do the other Lee Enfields but for now, more French rifles. The MAS 36 specifically, generally known as pretty ugly guns but they were robust and reliable apparently. I personally like them myself but that's neither here nor there.
And of course, the very unusual MAS 36 CR 39, a paratrooper variant that has a folding stock of an interesting design.
Thank You!

Strange, I though I also made the same one......
Re: Real Gunbucket For Real Designs
the 2 are almost identical externally. that does look like a very late one. many had dust covers over the bolt. C&R arsenal on youtube and Forgotten weapons are great sources of the history. And Ian Skennerton is the Guru of all things Lee Enfield/Metfor history.

Hello,
Today, I have the Fusil Mitrailleur Modele 1915 CRSG, otherwise known as the Chauchat. Perhaps not the best designed light machine gun and possessing some teething issues, the Chauchat is nevertheless important to the Entente's war effort by giving them the necessary firepower.
The first is the French model, the Fusil Mitrailleur Modele 1915 CRSG chambered for the 8mm Lebel.
Next is the American model, the Automatic Rifle, Model 1915 (Chauchat). Some improvements but still plagued with a flimsy magazine.
Finally the Belgian model, the FM 15/27. Pretty much the penultimate model with several design improvements such as having a whole lot of dust covers and a truly improved magazine.
And finally, the M1911 and the M1911A1. Not a Chauchat variant but they're quite well known.
Thank You

Fortunatelly, not a Chauchat variant ! Very Well done, Nicely drawn ugly (the ungainly appearance was the least of the bad side of this weapon) machine guns and pistol.
