Re: US ARMY Organization
Of course by the time they had to face Garands the Germans were armed with everything from Kragh-Jorgensens to Carcanos and their machine guns were just as mixed a bag. In fact the German army of 1944 bore an increasingly eery similarity to the German army of 1918. They too carried reichs revolvers older than themselves, walked everywhere and had to eat their horses.
“Close” only counts with horseshoes, hand grenades, and tactical nuclear weapons.

Re: US ARMY Organization
I would like to finish with ACR support but I’m little bit stuck with all the semi-trailers.
So, and to test an alternate picture host, there is a typical Corps artillery organisation from the late 90’s.
The brigade level is modular, pending on supported or reinforced units.
Corps Target Acquisition Detachment is to support light infantry division.
Holistic graph missing...

(5) Technical supervision for unit maintenance operations, unit administration, food service activities, and tactical support operations for subordinate/attached units.

(5) Technical supervision for unit maintenance operations, unit administration, food service activities, and tactical support operations for organic and attached units.

3. CORPS TARGET ACQUISITION DETACHMENT
(In corps containing a light division)
Mission: To acquire, identify, classify, and locate enemy targets, units, and forces with sufficient position accuracy for attack.
Capabilities:
(1) Provides general target acquisition by means of weapons locating radar.
(2) Registers and adjusts friendly weapons fire by radar techniques.
(3) Provides a target processing section for the targeting element of light division artillery Tactical Operations Center (TOC).

4. HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS BATTERY, FIELD ARTILLERY BATTALION, 155MM SELF-PROPELLED
