How old are some of these artists, that stuff isn't bad for a ten year old, maybe up to 13 or so. But once you get to the 13, 14 stage ya' really ought to be giving credit to the original artist, and if you want to modify it, ask. It's one thing if a ten-year-old wants to add phasers to the USS South Carolina, it's another if it's a 17-year-old.

Hmm I'm not sure...

I'm being 17 since two weeks myself.
I couldn't imagine someone who does as much research, and puts such care into his work would ever put phasers on an early dreadnought, unless they were in period appropriate turret or casement mount. And clearly you know how and when to credit your sources.
